The 2026 edition of the European Language Industry Survey (ELIS) survey has opened for responses. The study, which is now in its thirteenth year, will be open for responses until midnight CET on Saturday, 31st January.

ELIS focuses on the industry trends, expectations and concerns of a wide range of language industry stakeholders, including language service companies, independent language professionals, training institutes with translation and interpreting-related training programmes, students studying in those institutions, language departments in private companies, public administrations, and language service buyers. The survey has specific strands aimed at those diverse segments of the language industry landscape.

The results, with an expert panel drawn from ELIS partner organisations, will be presented during a free-to-attend Translating Europe Workshop webinar organised by the European Commission on Tuesday, 17th March between 16:00 and 17:30 CET.
