Der ukrainische Übersetzer- und Dolmetscherverband UATI, Mitglied der FIT, hat den UATI Support Fund gegründet und einen Spendenaufruf gestartet, um so all jene Kollegen und Kolleginnen zu unterstützen, die aktuell entweder selbst in der ukrainischen Armee kämpfen oder unter schwierigsten Bedingungen arbeiten.
Der ADÜ Nord unterstützt diesen Spendenaufruf der UATI-Präsidentin Natalia Pavliuk:
Dear colleagues
I would like to express our gratitude to the international community of translators and interpreters for the kind words of solidarity and support, for the desire to help us. In this hard time for our country we stay together and do our best to make the Victory come as soon as possible. Some of us are fighting in the Ukrainian army or territorial defence forces, others translate and interpret pro bono, which means we have lost the sources of income.
To support Ukrainian translators and interpreters financially, the Ukrainian Association of Translators and Interpreters created the UATI Support Fund.
We have already received USD 2200 from different countries of the world.
Within 20 days, the UATI have sent to Ukrainian translators and interpreters the financial support of USD 2650 both from our own funds and thanks to the contributions of the international translators‘ community.
We have helped our colleagues to get evacuated from Kharkiv, Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, other cities and villages, to buy medications and food, special footwear and a bullet-proof vest for our colleague who is now in the territorial defence forces.

Kindly share this information among the members of your organisation.
Sincerely yours,
Natalia Pavliuk
