For our site in Munich, our Language Services department (CC-LS) at Corporate Communications ist seeking a candidate to fill the position of Senior Translator (w/m/d).
Your tasks
- Translate, proofread and post-edit technical German <> English texts
- Manage projects and process orders, which includes clarifying and implementing customer-specific workflows and providing support for external translators
- Expand and maintain WACKER’s in-house terminology databases in RWS MultiTerm; carry out projects in RWS Trados Studio
- Development (and/or related support) and implementation of translation management workflows
- Work wiht the head of CC-LS to (help) maintain and expand IT components (administrator role)
Your profile
- Degree in German <> English translation or equivalent work experience
- Experience as a Senior Translator (w/m/d), with an emphasis on translation, editing and/or project management
- Broad range of general knowledge and experience in the fields of technology and/or the natural sciences – especially chemistry
- Confident style and years of experience with journalistic texts, including editing and post-editing
- Well versed in conventional translation and publishing programs (RWS Trados, etc.)
- Diligent approach to work, ability to work under pressure, good communication skills and assertiveness
