Summary & Role Information
As an LX in-house translator (EN->DE) your tasks are:
– Translate and coordinate translation requests for UI and documentation (focus SAP S/4HANA Procurement)
– Deliver exceptional linguistic quality, perfectly in tune with corporate style and image
– Define and maintain terminology
– Translate/edit SAP wide communication materials and publications
– Contribute to relevant delivery and UA meetings, user groups, and networks
– Act as an advocate for excellent user experience, ensure translation standards, and advise internal customers on any language matter
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as subject-matter experts, user experience (UX), development, validation, and product support, to facilitate high-quality deliverables and to improve processes and translation best-practices
– Actively participate in or lead cross-department/cross-company projects to improve translation tools, processes, and concepts
– Follow and apply relevant industry and language technology trends for translation as applicable at SAP
Experience / Role Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated translator who is passionate about translation and innovative language technologies:
• University degree in translation or a related linguistic field
• German native speaker with an excellent command of English
• Excellent knowledge of relevant products/domains and of the respective target audience
• Very good time management and ability to work under time pressure
• Flexible team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Very organized with high attention to detail and quality
• Excellent knowledge of translation tools
• Very good understanding of localization and translation processes
Work Experience
• Several years of work experience in translation and with relevant SAP translation tools
• Experience in the localization/translation industry is ideal
• Very good understanding of the SAP product portfolio and applications
