What to expect as a terminologist at Fresenius Medical Care
- You will lead terminology management in the Global Labeling Office at Fresenius Medical Care
- You will become familiar with our tool landscape and continuously improve terminology workflows within this framework
- You will work closely with technical communicators and guide them in extracting core terminology when necessary
- You will work closely with technical communicators, translation project managers and subject matter experts to provide terms with the necessary metadata so that local experts can quickly define terms in their languages
- You will organize and lead terminology forums and Q&A sessions
- You will develop a workflow for efficiently checking terminology in our User Interfaces and information products to ensure high quality source files and translations
Your expertise is required
- Successful university degree in a field that includes terminology management in its curriculum, alternatively several years’ experience managing terminology
- Experience or familiarity with terminology tools such as Kalcium and MultiTerm
- Experience or familiarity with interfaces to authoring tools that enable correct term use and control such as Congree
- Native or near-native English skills because English is our corporate language and source language for information products
- Good German skills; knowledge of other languages helpful
- A structured, systematic work approach
- Strong, persuasive communicator and team player
- Adept at managing diverse stakeholders without disciplinary authority
