As a LX translator (German->English) your tasks are:
- Translate and edit SAP wide communication materials and publications
- Deliver exceptional linguistic quality, perfectly in tune with corporate style and image
- Ensure linguistic quality and support linguistic quality projects within the team
- Define and maintain terminology in our terminology database
- Consult internal customers on any language matter and ensure standards of translation
- Assist in improving processes and best practices within the team
- Interact with project managers on load balancing for relevant translation requests
Role Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated translator /f/m/d), passionate about translation and innovative language technologies:
- University Degree in translation or a related linguistic field
- English native speaker with an excellent command of German
- Proficiency in translating communication materials with high visibility
- High-quality focus and ability to work under time pressure
- Deep understanding of confidentiality requirements
- Flexible team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Very organized with high attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks
- Good knowledge of translation-related tools, in particular SDL Trados Studio is a must
- Thorough understanding of localization and translation processes within SAP is a plus
- Business and IT industry know-how and interest in financials
Work Experience
- Proven work experience in translation – min. 2 years
- Experience in the localization/translation industry is ideal
- Technical background and understanding of SAP processes is desirable
